I. Program Introduction

In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the international exchanges and cooperation of young talents, China Scholarship Council (CSC) has established the China Link Scholarship Program for international students and faculties hoping to engage in academic and research activities in China. 

II. How to apply

1. Applicants should complete an Online Application on the website（tju.at0086.cn/student）according to the application schedule. Applicants should fill in the application information online, upload the application documents listed below to the Online Application System(The application program is China Link Scholarship Program).

2. Students who are admitted and nominated for the China Link Scholarship Program need to log into the system of China Scholarship Council(https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) within the specified time to submit the scholarship application (The Agency Number for Tianjin University is 10056; Choose Program Category Type B).

3. Deadlines for Tianjin University to nominate scholarship candidates to CSC are July 15, October 15, 2024; and January 15, 2025, occurring three times for this call. The start study date in China should be no later than August 31, 2025.

III.Program Categories and Scholarship Duration

Note: Applicants can apply all disciplines other than Chinese Language.

IV. Eligibility 

1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and be in good health, both mentally and physically;

2. Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholars; be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars;

3. Be registered as a full-time student or employed as a full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner universities at the time of application and throughout their proposed stay in China. For a list of CSC’s foreign partner universities, please click here;

4. Applicants shall be willing to comply with Chinese laws and the regulations of Tianjin University.

V. Scholarship Coverage

1. Tuition waiver and accommodation on campus; 

2. Monthly Living Allowance: 

3,000 RMB/month for General Scholars;

3,500 RMB/month for Senior Scholars;

3. Comprehensive Medical Insurance.

VI. Application Materials 

Please upload all the listed documents below to the application system:

1. Passport Homepage: Applicant shall submit a clear scanned copy of his/her ordinary passport within validity.

2. Certificate of Highest Education: Please upload a school letter or employment letter issued by your current foreign university.

3. Transcripts of Highest Education 

4. Study Plan: Personal Statement or Research Proposal in Chinese or English, at least

500 words. 

5. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner: Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English or Chinese.

6. Non-criminal records report: Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the non-criminal records report issued by the public authority at current residency.

7. CSC Application Form: Click “Print the Application Form” and download the form after submitting the application in CSC system.
